   • Duración: Taller teórico-práctico en exteriores de un total de cuatro horas (4) horas contacto. Aceptamos solo un máximo de diez (10) participantes por sesión para garantizar una enseñanza individualizada.
     • Duration: Outdoors theoretical-practical workshop for a total of cuatro (4) contact hours. We accept just a maximum of ten  (10) participants per session to guarantee an individualized learning process.

    • Requisitos: Taller abierto a participantes con habilidades en el uso de una cámara DSLR o Mirrorless  con capacidad manual que preferiblemente haya tomado un taller de Fotografía Básica. En el mismo aceptaremos participantes entre 12 y 17 años de edad siempre y cuando les acompañe un adulto. Algunas restricciones pueden aplicar.​
    • Requirements: Workshop open to participants with skills in using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera with manual capability who preferably have taken a Basic Photography workshop. Participants between 12 and 17 years of age will be accepted as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Some restrictions may apply.

    La luz lo es todo en la fotografía, la luz ambiental o luz disponible esta constantemente variando, incluyendo las artificiales que iluminan la ciudad.
    Este taller de destreza intermedia, primero de una serie de talleres que se inspiran en una famosa frase del gran maestro de la fotografia W. Eugene Smith: “La luz disponible es cualquier maldita luz que esté disponible”. En otras palabras arréglatelas como puedas pero haz una buena foto. 
    El taller se ofrece en dos (2) primeras horas en nuestras facilidades para trabajar la teoría y algo de practica con luz controlada, para luego movernos a una locación en exteriores para dos (2) horas adicionales de practica supervisada en situaciones donde no tendremos control alguno sobre la luz. Para un total de cuatro (4) horas contacto.
    En la experiencia de exteriores tratamos de estar en las horas de transición de tarde a noche para aprovechar los cambios de luz y de temperatura de color según la hora y la época del año.  
    Aprenderás sobre:

• La importancia del uso del ISO en condiciones extremas y como combinarlo con apertura y velocidad de obturación.
• Refinar la apertura para obtener la exposición adecuada usando la luz disponible bajo condiciones fuera de tu control.
• Como encuadrar la foto con respecto a la luz disponible ya que las fuentes de luz no las controlas.
• Cambios de temperatura de color según la hora del día y la luz disponible. Y como aprovecharlos a nuestro favor como parte del proceso creativo.

    En términos generales lo aprendido en este taller te dará confianza para trabajar en cualquier situación usando solo la luz disponible.

    Light is everything in photography, ambient light or available light is constantly changing, including the artificial light that illuminates the city.
    This intermediate skills workshop, the first in a series of workshops inspired by a famous phrase from the great master of photography W. Eugene Smith: “Available light is any damn light that is available”. In other words, do what you can but take a good photo.
    The workshop is offered in two (2) first hours in our facilities to work on the theory and some practice with controlled light, and then we move to an outdoor location for two (2) additional hours of supervised practice in situations where we will have no control over the light, for a total of four (4) contact hours.
    In the outdoor experience we try to be there during the transition hours from afternoon to night to take advantage of the changes in light and color temperature depending on the time and time of year.
    You will learn about:

• The importance of using ISO in extreme conditions and how to combine it with aperture and shutter speed.
• Refining the aperture to get the right exposure using available light under conditions outside of your control.
• How to frame the photo with respect to available light since you do not control the light sources.
• Color temperature changes depending on the time of day and available light. And how to use them to our advantage as part of the creative process.

    In general terms, what you learn in this workshop will give you confidence to work in any situation using only available light.
