Jose "Pepe" Perez-Mesa
Director
José "Pepe" Pérez-Mesa, fotógrafo y director de Puro Enfoque L.L.C. cuenta con más de cuarenta años de experiencia en la industria fotográfica y más de veinticinco en el campo de la imagen digital como desarrollador, artista y consultor. Ha publicado en periódicos, revistas y libros locales, nacionales e internacionales. Sus fotos de arte, arte escénica, danza y documentales son parte de colecciones públicas y privadas de varios países.
Pérez-Mesa, fue miembro fundador de la Asociación de Fotoperiodistas de Puerto Rico (AFPR), y perteneció a su Junta de Directores por varios términos. También es miembro de la Asociación Nacional de Fotógrafos de Prensa (NPPA). Hoy día trabaja como representante técnico independiente para el mercado profesional de Canon USA.
Como parte de su compromiso social dedica parte de su tiempo en ayudar y desarrollar nuevos fotógrafos profesionales.
José "Pepe" Pérez-Mesa, photographer and director of Puro Enfoque L.L.C., has over forty years of experience in the photographic industry and more than twenty-five in the field of digital imaging as a developer, artist and consultant. He has published in local, national and international newspapers, magazines and books. His photos of art, stage art, dance and documentaries are part of public and private collections of several countries.
Pérez-Mesa, was a founding member of the Association of Photojournalists of Puerto Rico (AFPR), and belonged to its Board of Directors for several terms. He is also a member of the National Association of Press Photographers (NPPA). Today he works as an independent technical representative for the Canon USA professional market.
As part of his social commitment, he devotes part of his time to helping and developing new professional photographers.

Miguel Ríos
¿Quién dijo que no es posible hacer buenas fotos con un celular? Soy Miguel Ríos y he demostrado a saciedad que sí se puede. Después de 30 años como fotoperiodista, un día, y gracias a mi nieto Adriel, supe que podía utilizar mi celular como instrumento para lograr buenas fotos. Fue una transición… descubrí y, hasta sané. Así nació el “arquero” y comencé a desarrollar mis técnicas, esas que me han permitido atrapar imágenes maravillosas. Las comparto en las redes sociales para que otros conozcan esas historias y sus protagonistas. A lo largo de mi carrera en el fotoperiodismo me topé con Silvio Rodríguez, Rita Moreno, Sonia Sotomayor, Wilfredo Gómez y muchos, muchos, muchos otros. Ahora, mis encuentros son con lo cotidiano: gente, paisajes, momentos, sentimientos, fuerza, belleza, alegría, esperanza. Quiero compartir con otros la maravilla de hacer “Street Photography”
Who said you can not make great pictures with a cell phone? I’m Miguel Rios and I have proven that it can. After 30 years as a photojournalist, one day, thanks to my grandson Adriel, I learned I could use my phone as a tool to achieve good photos. It was a transition … discovered and healed. Thus there was born the “goal keeper” and started developing my techniques, those that have allowed me to capture wonderful images. I share them on social networks for others to know those stories and their protagonists. Throughout my career in photojournalism I met with Silvio Rodriguez, Rita Moreno, Sonia Sotomayor, Wilfredo Gomez and many, many, many others. Now, my meetings are with the everyday: people, landscapes, moments, feelings, strength, beauty, joy, hope. I want to share with others the wonder of making “Street Photography”
